I have 7 children, being a mom is like a constantly evolving education course. All of them were so different from the moment they’re born. It’s crazy how much of their personality is engrained in them from the beginning. My oldest was the most high maintenance baby, and he still is. I found myself spending disproportionate amounts of time helping him than his younger siblings to the point where I decided to cut him off, saying, “You need to do things for yourself!” but I think that was a mistake. The others didn’t need so much of my attention. My youngest could go for long stretches entertaining himself. I love them equally but they need different things. The best thing I can do is let them know I’ll be there whenever they need me.
