I work at a day care center for senior citizens, some are over 100. You’d learn so much from their perspectives, histories, wisdom, and humility. Society wants to push them aside too quickly. These guys don’t know smart phones or technology, The ones who live with dementia can’t live in the past or the future. the ones that do the best are the ones who just accept the present moment. It’s tough for me, because sometimes I expect too much of them. I’m learning to accept them as they are, realizing it’s not them, it’s the disease.
