You’d learn patience. Everyday through high school the light skinned kids I’d pass on my 24-block walk to school would want to fight me. Even though I studied Karate and Wing Chun I didn’t engage because I was so focused on getting that piece of paper so I could support my self as an adult. All the training in the dojo keeps me focused. Now I’m self employed and not dependent on anyone.
