You’d learn to take the opportunies that are available. I finished carpenter school in 2001, but couldn’t finish the apprenticeship because I lost my driver’s license and I couldn’t get out to the suburbs. So I got in with a heating and cooling company because of my buddy. It’s kept me busy but I want to do more, like being a building engineer. I’m 41, that’s old for some people, but not me. I’m not even at the half point of my life yet. To work on my skills I’m building a bathroom in my girlfriend’s basement.
